Me, experiencing my first butter beer at the World of Harry Potter. A-mazing.

Three years ago, I became a single mom after a divorce.  Alone for the first time since I was 17, I was afforded the opportunity to rediscover the things I am passionate about.  Now remarried with a blended family of three kids, I’ve committed to maintaining my personal growth in the crafts I love.

I’m a mom, a teacher, a reader, a knitter, a wanna-be DIYer, and lover of a beautiful photograph.  I love connecting with people by taking their picture, and finding interesting and curiously beautiful places and things everywhere I go.

As with most things in life, I find that the key to capturing a great image is practice.  I started this blog as a way to share my work with others, get feedback, and have little fun along the way.   Some photos will be boring, some exciting, some really special (I hope).  It certainly isn’t a place for me to be the expert on just about anything, but it is a place to share the things I love and connect with others who love the same things.

Join me on my journey as I document our life, and grow as a photographer and artist.

  1. i followed one of these a few years back and loved it! I so wish I could commit to this…you are off to a great start…the books look awesome…the light shining in is amazing.

    1. Thank you, Meg! It’s a pretty big under-taking, so I’m going to set out with the best intentions, and remember to forgive myself along the way. Some days I’m sure the images I produce will be less interesting than others, but I’m thinking we can’t find the diamonds in the rough if we don’t pull up a little coal, too! Thanks for checking it out, and come back!
