yarn along ~ color affection

DSC_4216 DSC_4221 DSC_4222I just picked up a book that I’m thinking about adding to a fourth grade classroom library, George Brown, Class Clown. I’ve noticed a few boys around the school reading this series, and thought I’d check it out.

I’m moving along with my Color Affection, using some yarn from The Plucky Knitter.  I napped to color ways (Oatmeal and Brown Bear) of Plucky Feet and a skein of Miss Babs at fibre space a few months ago, and finally got far enough down my holiday to do list to attempt to whip this up for myself.  I was loving it before I added the Brown Bear, but the jury is out now.  We’ll see how it looks once all stripes are on there.  I’m entering the part of the pattern that includes just miles of garter stitch in every row.  I’m determined to finish this before picking up something else, though, so expect to see progress next week!

Anybody else tackling this garter stitch marvel? Leave a link in the comments! I’d love to see how it’s going for everyone else.
