Move is complete, and my nephew and I have traveled to Florida to do the final clean-out of Dad’s house down here.  This means I finally have the chance to catch up on some editing, and do some posting.

A few weeks ago, we got to travel to Richmond to visit with my almost in-laws and to attend a Catfish Fry at their friend’s home.  We lucked out with a completely beautiful day, and we were so happy to have both of our girls with us to attend.  Zoe managed to catch a 4 pound catfish, and Grace managed to bag 5 little fish.  She even scored a $15 pot for catching the most critters.

We really could not have asked for a better day.  I laid on a blanket after an amazing meal, Hubs-to-Be sitting with Grace, Zoe making friends with other kids, my father-in-law cleared with another healthy check with his oncologist, and I just felt completely happy.  We are truly, truly so lucky to be together and to be starting our lives.  There are have been some rough patches in the road in the last few years, but I think it’s led us to a place of real comfort and joy for a little while, and it’s filling up my cup.
